Smaller Flexible Cutting Mat

I cook daily in my house.  There is nothing I like more than trying a new recipe and testing it on my family.  Ha ha ha!  Really, I do love using them as guinea pigs.  Most of the time it turns out great.  There are always my days where they are... we will just say I wouldn't make them again.

With my experimentation, I've also found I use a lot of cutting boards.  I love cutting boards of all sizes.  This time, however, it wasn't a cutting "board" I was trying, but a flexible cutting mat.  Four of them, actually.

These cutting mats were on the smaller side, but they were perfect for just hanging up on my wall.  Each one came with it's own use icon.  Meat, Fish, Onion (vegetables), and Lemon (fruit?).  I actually liked that, and I found I was able to easily use each one according to the label.

I also found that my fish cutting mat, months later, has yet to be used.  Shame on me.  I need to eat more fish.

These mats are very strong, and so far I have not cut through them.  I would love to have a bigger size, but this is great for prepping smaller items.  It's more for a meal for one or two people, instead of my eleven people.  I have noticed that the markings and color is coming off on the cutting mats we use most often.

We hand wash, so maybe they were scrubbed a little too much.  However, those are my two big issues with them.  Otherwise, I think they are perfect little flexible plastic cutting mats.  They are great for kitchens with little space, or big kitchens that only need a smaller cutting surface.

You can check them out HERE on Amazon.

Upcoming 2015 Holiday Guide

I am so excited to be in the starting process of writing up my 2015 Holiday Guide.  I will be posting some of the great items you can get for your loved ones, as well as what they can get for you!

Sometimes holiday shopping can be overwhelming.  I want to make this a little easier for you.  As a mom of a big family, I know how it is hard to figure out what everyone wants.  As a mom, it seems that all of the gift giving falls on me.  This is my way of listing all the great deals.  My plan is to list toys, clothing, electronics, kitchen items, and so much more.

I have a few items that I am already in the process of reviewing.  I am SO excited to get this started, and I can't wait to share it with you!

Please, if you have any ideas or suggestions of what you would like to see, let me know!  I would love to see many comments of items you want to find out more about.  I can't promise to get all of them, but I'll try to get some.

I'm not just a reviewer! My crazy days!

I know that I pretty much only post my reviews on here.  I'm wanting to change things up and talk a little about me.  Things are crazy around here pretty much all the time.  I am not just a blogger and reviewer.  I'm not some crazy lady that writes reviews all day.  Although, to me it seems like it.  I am a wife and a mother to 9 amazing and crazy kids.  I spend my day alternating between cooking, cleaning, homeschooling, cleaning, trying new products, cleaning, cooking, writing reviews, oh, and cleaning.  Ha ha ha!

Oh, and I lied.  I am a crazy lady.  When you have 9 kids, you likely don't have all the sanity you started off with.  I just try to tone it down in my posts.  I think that you just don't see the real me in them, and I want to change that.  I want to start writing more on here, and not JUST doing the reviews.  I mean, come on.  Does anyone really just want to sift through reviews?  Doubtful.  Soooo.... I am going to have fun!  I am going to post from the life of a crazy mom blogger!

I'm having fun, and I hope you enjoy the future of Big Family Reviews.

Now I will spam my post with fun pictures of my family and daily life.  In no particular order...
